Weekend on the Lake

I spent the Labor day weekend at the lake like most people. It was around a four hour drive to the lake house at Beaver lake.
I had gotten there at a good time as there was still daylight to go down and enjoy the water for a couple hours before we lost daylight. The water was perfect for a summer swim. Not too hot or cold. When I had gotten into the water for the first time of the trip, it was well worth the four hour drive. The water was cleaner than most lakes in the Arkansas area and I enjoyed every minute of it. Then the beautiful colors of the sunset filled the sky with warm orange and yellow colors as we then called it a day.
The next day was one of the more fun days on the water as this was the day we would finally get on the boat and start to do some water sports. The first thing we did was tube on the water, for 6 hours. It didn’t feel like that long but the sunburn I had after words started to burn. For those of you who don’t know what tubing is, tubing is a fun activity that is a great experience. An inflated raft is tied to the back of a boat and to the tube and the boat would accelerate to a decent speed, but the faster you go, the more fun it is. But do you think we just went straight? No, not at all. The driver of the boat was turning left and right was throwing us around and I had fallen off the tube, so many times, but then after the long hours of that, we had called it a day.
The last day on the water, I had a great idea. I wanted to get the most out of the time we had left here at the lake. So I went to wake up everyone else at the lake at 6 a.m. to get on the water to go wake surf. Most of the other people didn’t like me so much after that, but after they all thought it was worth it. I had wake surfed before and I wanted to do it again. I had fallen the first couple of times but eventually got up and enjoyed the ride. Then after breakfast we tubed some more or course, and then got all packed up and left to come back home. I suggest giving the lake a shot if you’re looking for a fun weekend on the water.
